How can I set my site up to work with FeedBurner?
FeedBurner is an awesome tool for anybody who has a blog out there and who also wants to know how many people are subscribing to their blog. To get it setup, all you need to do is follow these simple steps.
Register for FeedBurner
First thing is to point your browser towards FeedBurner.com and sign up for the service. Click on the register link at the top of the page. It is a free service to use, so you will not be out any cash at all.
Setup Your First FeedBurner Feed
Next, once you have verified your account and logged in, you should see a box that says.
- Burn a feed right this instant. Type your blog or feed address here:
Put the RSS feed you are using now into this empty text box and hit the "Next" button. If you have a podcast you are hosting, then select the "I am a podcaster!" check mark box before hitting the "Next" button.
Now, FeedBurner will ask you for more information about your feed. You will need to give it a Feed Title (your web site's name) and a Feed Address (a short and simple word or phrase).
Click on the "Activate Feed" button, and you are all set. Now you can edit your blog's web site template to replace your current RSS feed and start sharing this new feed powered by FeedBurner.
