From Lunarpages Web Hosting Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

The LPCP has an excellent backup manager that will assist you in keeping your web site files, databases, and account status backed up. It is always important to have a backup handy, just in case the worst might happen. To access your backup settings, login to your LPCP and click on the Backup and Restore Account link under the Your Site category on the left-side menu, from within your LPCP.

Database and E-mail Backups: The LPCP interface does not (at this time) backup MySQL databases or e-mails. E-mails should be backup via downloading them to a POP3 desktop e-mail client. Databases will need to be backed up via the export function within phpMyAdmin (for MySQL databases) or phpPgAdmin (for PostgreSQL databases).
