How do you create and remove PostgreSQL Databases in LPCP? The process is made very easy by the LPCP web hosting control panel. In this tutorial, we will cover the steps needed to both create and delete PostgreSQL databases for our hosting customers that use the LPCP control panel.

How to Create a PostgreSQL Database

Click the "PostgreSQL Manager" link in the left sidebar menu of LPCP.

Scroll down the next page to where it says, "Create PgSQL Database". In the empty text box, type the name of your database. Next, select the Postgres User you want to assign to that database. Finally, hit the button under it that says, "Create".

Once you have done that, you should be taken to a new page which tells you the database has been created successfully.

How to Delete a PostgreSQL Database

Click the "PostgreSQL Manager" link in the left sidebar menu of LPCP.

At the top of the page, once you have assigned a user to a database, you should see them listed at the top under PgSQL Management. To delete a database click the link that says, "(x)" next to the database's name. Next, you'll be asked to confirm the deletion, and then taken to a page which tells you the deletion was completed successfully.

Please Note: To edit or modify your PostgreSQL database relationships in LPCP, you will want to launch phpPgAdmin. This can be done by logging into your LPCP account for your web hosting plan, and clicking the link in the left navigation sidebar that reads, "phpPgAdmin". This will launch the phpPgAdmin tool.
