Commonly there are several issues and errors that can occur on installing. One thing to note is, PageMason does not "Download" to your local computer, it is Installed directly onto your server account. Its important to know that right now Windows Accounts do not have support for PageMason since it is not compatible with the servers at this time.

Help Troubleshooting PageMason Installation Errors

Some errors have occurred on non-windows servers, and they still cannot connect to their server, this happens to be one reason, that the Domain Name Server hasn't been resolved, make sure your domain name is pointing to our servers correctly, if they don't then PageMason has problems trying to finish the installation.

Sometimes errors occur such as "cannot upload pagemasoninstaller_.php to the site". The solution is to double check the CPanel File Manager side to see if there is a file or a folder during the process of installation that could lock the install process. Any file that may have been created during install could have went corrupted to fix this issue. You just simply clean up the following files and folders.

  • Remove - ./public_html/mason/* - all files in mason folder (Double check to see if there is any sites created if there is then it needs a different method to remove Mason) Simply move the Sites folder outside call it backup_sites or something of this sort. When you have done this removed the mason folder.
  • Remove - ./public_html/pagemasoninstaller_.php - if exists
  • Remove - ./public_html/MasonInstaller_.xml - if exists
  • Remove - ./protected/main.conf - NOTE: If you had to do sites rename and move step, then you need to also backup the main.conf file by simply renaming it.

Go to the Customer's Account Page (CAP) and re-install PageMason for them, by simply clicking the URL, then follow the on screen instructions. Once it has been successfully reinstalled, (Hopefully no more issues on install)
