Redirect Pages in cPanel
From Lunarpages Web Hosting Wiki
Adding a redirect from cPanel comes in handy if you need to change the way your domains lead to your pages. For example, if you started out with one page leading to one place and you wanted to change it to another, you would simply need to follow these steps.
How to Redirect Pages in cPanel
Start out by logging into your cPanel, and then find then click on the icon marked, "Redirects". This will take you to cPanel's Add Redirect web page.
Here you see two text boxes. With the first one (that has your domain name in front of it) you list your current page you wish to redirect. In the second text box enter the full URL of the destination for the redirect.
Now, in the drop down box, you have two choices:
- Temporary - a redirect you only wish to have for a temporary amount of time.
- Permanent - a redirect you wish to keep forever.
Hit the "Add" button when you are sure you have all the settings correct. Once you have done that, you will be taken to a web page which lets you know your redirect has been setup successfully.
To remove a redirect, on the Add Redirect web page scroll down until you reach "Remove Redirect:". Now select in the drop down box the redirect you wish to remove and hit the "Remove" button.
