Do you provide shell access/SSH or Telnet?

Yes, we do allow SSH/Telnet access on our Linux shared, VPS, and Dedicated hosting plans. With VPS and Dedicated hosting it is available as soon as the server is set up.

With our shared hosting plans (Basic and Business, cPanel servers only) we can add it to your account for an additional $2.00 a month. After the fee is paid, then we can move you to one of our special servers that has SSH enabled. For more information on how to enable this feature, please e-mail sales@lunarpages.com.

Please note: Some commands are disabled on Basic/Business plans with SSH. For more information see: Jailshell Disabled Commands.

Connecting to your account

If you are using a Windows computer you will need a free program like putty to access your site which you can download here: http://www.putty.org/.

Putty settings:

  • Host Name: yourdomain.com
  • Port: 22
  • Protocol: SSH

For Linux and Mac users you can open a terminal window and use the ssh command:

ssh hebe.lunarmania.com
