Special Server Paths

Occasionally, a script or service may require a special path to server side technology that you do not know. Here are some of the most commonly ask for server side technologies and the paths to them on the web hosting server.

Please Note: Replace USER with your hosting account user name. Also, these paths are in relation to our Linux-based shared web hosting plans.

Special Sever Side Paths

Perl:

/usr/bin/perl

SendMail:

/usr/sbin/sendmail

Python:

/usr/bin/python

Path to your public_html directory:

/home/USER/public_html/

CGI-BIN directory:

/home/USER/public_html/cgi-bin/ 

Image Magick:

/usr/local/bin/

PHP (for Cron Jobs):

/usr/local/bin/php

for PHP 5, use:

/usr/local/php5/bin/php-cgi
