Windows Mail
From Lunarpages Web Hosting Wiki
The following is a walk-through for setting up Windows Mail. Windows Mail (and Windows Live Mail) are the predecessors of Microsoft's older e-mail client, Outlook Express.
How to Setup a New Account in Windows Mail
In Windows Mail, go to the Tools menu and click on Accounts. Next, click on the add button in the upper-right. In the "Select Account Type" window, double-click on "E-mail Account".
Display Name: (as you wish) Email Address: (xxxx@domain.com)
My incoming mail server is a [POP3] Server.
Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, HTTP) server: [yourdomain.com]
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server: [yourdomain.com or your ISP SMTP server settings]
Account Name: (xxxx@domain.com) (same as e-mail address)
Password: as appropriate (your e-mail account password)
Log in Using Secure Password Authentication is NOT checked.
Click 'Next' and 'Finished'
Last step would be to test the e-mail account. If it does not work, try your ISP settings for sending e-mail.
