Softaculous Scripts in LPCP

Softaculous is a collection of PHP scripts and JavaScript Libraries that can be easily installed on your LPCP account.

What's an Auto Installer? An Auto Installer can be used to install scripts and software without you having to upload files. You don't need to create any database for the scripts and go through the complex procedures of installing these software packages!

How do I install a script with Softaculous?

First log into your LPCP control panel, and on the left menu click the link for Softaculous.

A new window will open. From the menu on the left select the script you would like to install. A description of the script will appear. To continue with the installation click the Install tab toward the top.

Next fill out all the information. If you have multiple domains on your account (such as add-ons) you can select a different domain from the drop-down menu. After everything is filled out, scroll to the bottom and click the Install button.

How do I view installed scripts?

After loging into your LPCP control panel, click on the Softaculous link.

In the top right of your browser, click on the wooden box to view all of the scripts you have installed.

Admin login

To log in to manage any of the scripts, click the person icon in the Admin column.

How do I upgrade scripts in Softaculous?

Follow the instructions above to view currently installed scripts, or click on the script name on the left menu.

If an upgrade is available, there will be two blue arrows in the shape of a circle next to the version number of the script. Click the arrows, and on the next page you will see information regarding the upgrade.

Please note: It is always a good idea to backup your script before performing an upgrade.

Next click on the Upgrade button and follow any on screen instructions.

How do I backup scripts/databases?

In the top menu click on the wooden box to pull up a listing of installed scripts. Then on the line for the script click on the yellow folder with the lock.

Make sure the boxes for Backup Directory and Backup Database are checked. Scroll down past the install information and then click on the Backup Installation button.

Please note: The backup may take some time depending on the data. Please do not close the webpage or navigate to another page until it finishes.

Once complete you will see this message: The backup was created successfully. You can download it from the Backups page. Click on the word Backups or the yellow folder icon at the top of the page to view current backups.
